Perth Hills Wine Show 2010
Each year winemakers from the region submit their wines for critical assessment at the Official Perth Hills Wine Show, judging will take place on July 19th with trophy and medal winners announced that evening at a special invitation only event held in Mundaring.
The judges for this year are; Virginia Wilcox, chief winemaker at Vasse Felix (Chairman of Judges), Kim Horton chief winemaker at Ferngrove and Alan Dineen proprietor of Chateau Guildford bottleshop.
These wines and others then go on to be introduced to the general public for tasting at the Perth Hills Public Wine Showcase held on 31st July & 1st August 2010. It is the only wine show in Western Australia where visitors can taste and buy wines, and learn about this unique region.
This show provides an opportunity for wine lovers to sample more than one hundred of the region’s premium wines, and talk to the winemakers and grape growers about their products. The entry fee of $15 includes a quality etched tasting glass, a catalogue and free tastings.
Approximately 22 wineries will be exhibiting in a special marquee in the heart of the Mundaring Truffle Festival in Sculpture Park, Mundaring 10am – 5pm daily.
