Bickley Valley & Carmel Wine Route

Beautiful forests, extraordinary wildflowers, tranquil bushwalking trails, bird and animal life, peaceful waterfalls and creeks, are just some of the scenic attractions of the Bickley Valley & Carmel Wine Route.

Only half an hour from the Perth CBD, a cluster of boutique wineries situated within a few kilometres of each other make for an easily accessible day out.

Vistas of vineyards and orchards in the valleys make motoring a delight, with all cellar doors being open on the weekend and throughout the week by appointment.

Roadside fruit stalls, asparagus straight from the farm, and beautiful open gardens just waiting to be experienced. Accommodation is available at several country-style bed and breakfast facilities, offering the ultimate in peace and relaxation.  Exploring the forest by camel, buying a memento from a local potter or art and craft from numerous galleries, or visiting the Perth Observatory in the Bickley Valley, are just one of the activities on offer.

Picturesque picnic and barbeque spots abound in the National forest and parks, including the majestic Lesmurdie Falls, with its wonderful views over the city.
